SCREENGUARD® screens have undergone testing to ensure quality performance under the duress of fire.
| BAL 40 rating | |
| Floating ember safe | |
| 40.2 kW/m2 heat flux tested | |
| 10-10 rule achieved |

All testing was carried out by an NATA registered independent testing laboroatory to strict Australian Standards using a pilot fire resistance furnace meeting requirements of AS 1530.4-2005.
This furnace provides radiant heat (simulating a bush fire happening) required as per AS 1530.4-2005 Appendix B7. Total heat flux meters were used to measure radiant heat.
To ensure accurate measurements of incident radiation, two radiometers projecting through the screen were used to read the data.
The test screen was also monitored after the fire exposure period to determine the level of re-radiation of the screen.
